Money for nothing

If you are here reading me, it may be because we all share the same dream. Being paid for doing nothing in return.

Which one is your reason? You may be one of those “romantic workers” who love their jobs every day of their lives, or may you love being at the office from 9–17 every Monday-Friday.

If you are like me, you would fancy having some more quality time to enjoy yourself and with your friends or relatives. Or you would like to have some “economic independence”.

In our shared dream, we do not have to worry about working on the same routine, we decide what we want to work on, and we get cash with little effort or automated tasks. If we decide to invest our time, it is because we believe in that project.

In the meantime I am just exploring opportunities, any single “cent” counts. I am exploring opportunities that do not require either technical abilities or money investments. Just time.

Every day, we receive lots of input about “side hustles”, “make money”, “extra income”, etc.

WAKE UP…Nobody gives anything for free.

If a product is free, then the product is you.

This statement could be impacting people outside of the IT world. We are used to freely navigating websites, and using different online services for free, so we may think we are not paying for it.

It is false, you pay for anything you use on the web or mobile apps. What I will be telling you is how to get the advantage of that and try to monetize some of your daily tasks.

There are lots of ways in which you pay for them:

ADS

Whenever you use any free service be sure it will be populated with advertisements at any point.

These ads will appear now and then under banners, videos, static images, etc.

Think about video platforms, or news, before you see the content you are looking for, you are prompted to see an advertisement. What if you could get paid for it?

CAPTCHA

I am pretty sure you will confront them several times a day. They are primarily created to separate human activities from bots. By resolving some difficult problem (for bots) you are granted access to some resources.

At the same time, you are “helping” someone to train the AI or machine learning models in different areas like speech recognition, artificial vision, etc.

PRIVACY

Even further, any time you are on the web, using some free apps, those enterprises are gathering as much information as possible about you and your habits.

Your navigation history, preferences, demographic, or even scrolling is being registered. The kind of device you are using, operating system, IP address, city, age, etc.

With all this data, they built “audience models” and those models are sold to other enterprises so they can target their advertising efforts. YES, they are making money from you, as you use their services.

OK, my data is already being sold, but I do not get any further compensation. Could I get some extra?

Passive Income

Strictly, a passive income is regular earnings coming from a rental property or a business you are not actively participating.

So, unless you were born wealthy enough to have some rental properties or enterprise shares, or being granted an inheritance, there is nothing like a passive income.

Every way it will require some time or effort by your side. So let’s redefine that concept by saying a passive income is some kind of earnings in which you do not have to invest time constantly.

Let’s say, for example, if you write a book you will have to invest a lot of time in it, but once it has been published, you will be earning some royalties on every sale.

In my future posts, I will write about many different ways to start earning some money with little effort on your side. I will explore options that will not require any technical qualification or investment.

We will talk about “rewards”, “referrals”, “crypto”, investment platforms”, ad viewing, etc.

Keep in touch.
